A4. Use the platform in the way it is intended to be used
Just because a cloud resource can be made to work for a particular workload does not mean that it should. Avoid architectures that leverage managed platform services in a manner that does not align with the cloud vendor’s recommended patterns for the purposes of “shoehorning” a workload into the cloud, as this generates inefficiency, excessive costs, and maintenance challenges. Don't run an application that is not architected for the cloud, in the cloud.
