Q5. Automate changes using CI/CD

Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment provides a framework for the execution of operations as code in an event-driven manner as directed by a build process. It is really only through automation that high-velocity changes can be implemented at scale in a public cloud environment, and we recommend that CI/CD pipelines be established for updates to applications running in that environment.

This document does not prescribe particular CI/CD tooling; however, the Common Platform Initiative may provide more concrete recommendations for the standardization of such tooling.
