S7. Use public cloud accounts managed by Virginia Tech

The Division of Information Technlogy provisions accounts for the public cloud providers AWS, Azure and GCP, and provides pass-through billing to university departments.

Personal (non-VT managed) accounts should not be used to host applications or data that pertain to official university business.

Access to public cloud providers should be requested via the IT Service Catalog.⁵
